Though we may still be in lockdown due to the pandemic, we have now been assured there is light at the end of the perpetual tunnel. And with this recent news, the weather has also decided to be kind to us and show us a little ray of hope with signs of spring.
With these less biting temperatures and a little sunshine, it's time to freshen up your wardrobe with some colours and patterns to reflect the warmer time of year. We've personally curated a selection of silk cravats, pocket squares, scarves and ties which make us think of spring, and look toward a much brighter and positive future in the coming months. So why not take some inspiration and consider brightening up your wardrobe, and your mood, with splashes of colour?
This fresh blue geometric circles and flower pattern, with hints of pink and yellow, is the perfect cravat for those brighter spring days. Paired with a plain white shirt, or a light woollen suit in brown or navy, these positive hues are a sure-fire mood enhancer.
"For the the outdoor adventurer, the cool, calm & collected, the contemplator, the at-one-with-nature, the free spirit…”. This quirky and eye-catching design takes inspiration from the 1920s era of Art Deco, and from the movie classic "Singing in the Rain", fused with sartorially stylish toucans embracing the weather in a tropical rainforest.
A sherbet orange combining beautifully with grey, navy and pink makes this paisley pattern cravat a real eye-catcher. Why not pair it with a light blue jacket or a dark grey suit to make it really stand out?
Leopard print - a bit of a daring move usually pulled off (or not) by rock stars. But - you can avoid any fashion disaster if you incorporate it into the right outfit. You can keep it muted by pairing it with earthy browns, tan, beige or black. If you’d rather crank up the volume and Run with the Devil, try a coloured shirt, velvet waistcoat, or cobalt blue suit, or even throw on a leather jacket and shades. You'll be turning heads as passers by try to work out which band you're in.
Lavender purple paired with pistachio green hues makes this geometric patterned silk tie perfect for spring. Match it with a plain light grey or brown suit and a contrasting pocket square to really emphasise the pastel hues.
Feel fresh with this spring green, pale jasmine, sky blue and orange printed silk cravat, with an oriental style pattern. Simply pair it with a plain white or coloured shirt to feel light and breezy on a warm spring day.
The Huntsman VIII Printed Silk Evening Scarf
Our printed silk scarves are the perfect accessory for a balmy spring evening. Thrown over a simple white shirt, used to finish off a suit, or paired with a lightweight overcoat or jacket, these beautiful scarf designs will add that je ne sais quoi to any look. This Huntsman VIII grey, lilac and blue bear and salmon fishing scene would pair well with all shades of brown, navy, or dark grey.
Spring means lighter and brighter colours, and pastels work really well this season. Complement or contrast them with your outfit to accentuate these hues. This light pistachio, vanilla and grey-blue paisley pattern can be paired with most colours, but we suggest greys or blues to get the most out of it.
This Irezumi design was specially commissioned for the new Aranami Strength Gin from Hidden Curiosities. Aranami 荒波 - meaning Raging Waves in Japanese, features a powerful dragon emerging out of tempestuous waters, surrounded by wildlife and an array of Japanese botanicals, featured in this overproof gin. This pocket square is absolutely bursting with colour, and perfect to welcome in spring.
Florals have featured very heavily in SS21 men's fashion, so why not be on trend with this subtle yet interesting small floral design? With chestnut brown, cloud grey, sunshine orange and vanilla, this would pair perfectly with a mid-blue or cream suit.
Another floral design, this Emiliano cravat mixes stone grey with soft coral, denim, powder blue and burgundy hues, creating a beautiful flowing botanical pattern. Perfectly suited for the upcoming warmer months.
Add some warmth to your attire with this Havardr woven silk tie, in sheer navy on pink and champagne yellow paisley. Perfect to look more approachable during that zoom business meeting, or making that extra effort for an upcoming virtual date.
